My philosophy is simple. I Buy more shit when the market is in the red. How much in the red you ask? It depends. If the market is down more than about 7 percent from its most recent all time high- I’m buying. This isn’t a hard and fast rule for me though. I just want to make sure I have enough cash available to keep buying when the market is down.
Is Apple a Buy right now?
It’s a risk before the Jan 30th earnings report comes out, but I'm bullish due to the iPhone 16’s performance. Timelines of iPhone replacements are interesting to me. I feel as if many die hard IPhone and MAC users are in the replacement season. People who had the IPhone 10/11/12 and MacBook Pros, are not switching brands as their old hardware is in need of upgrades.
Apple's current stock price is $223.66 Despite a recent decline this year, SOME analysts maintain a "Buy" rating with a 12-month price target of $241.35, indicating potential growth. Considering Apple's strong product pipeline and advancements in AI, it may be a promising time to buy.
I might buy some tomorrow.

THE BUSINESS OF WRITING
I’m working on better Substack notes. I’ve been attempting to leverage this part of the platform, as others seem to be raving about it’s “success”. Fake news.
No one cares what I have to say, YET! I’ll get to you nerds eventually.
I’m also attempting to Stop being so serious. My day job is stupid serious. It’s a real drag.
So in my writing life, I’m having fun. Talking about the things that are most interesting to me.
In the mean time, I’m looking for research on Substack user demographics. If you have any insider information contact me and I’ll pay you handsomely for it.
Allegedly,
“Substack's readership primarily consists of young, tech-savvy individuals with higher income levels. As the platform grows, its audience is diversifying, encompassing various interests and demographics.”
If that’s true, I guess we’re all screwed.
THE GOOD STUFF
Fell asleep to the new movie on Netflix “You Gotta Believe”. Jury is still out, but facts are facts. I snoozled about 15 minutes in.
Apparently, it’s about baseball. I’ll keep you updated.
“The World Series of Darts” is something I totally made up, in my garage. Might be a real name for a thing so don’t sue me, it’s just a name I thought of while trying to become a superior dart player to my wife - who wins.
You see, we start with best two out of three - if I win it becomes best out of five. Then inevitably best out of Seven Games. Hence the “World Series”.
If I win, it never happened. We forget about that. Don’t talk about it. She wins.
When we first met, darts at the bar was kind of our thing, so when we got married some of our friends gifted us our very own board for our house. It’s the best. You don’t care. We have more fun than you though.
