Planetary Parade Lights Up the Sky
Astronomers (And my wife) are buzzing about the rare planetary parade happening this week, with Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn aligning in a rare celestial spectacle visible from Earth.
Apparently this won’t happen again for HUNDREDS OF YEARS.
The event is creating a buzz in the science community, and apps like Sky Guide are helping sky watchers pinpoint the best times to view this planetary alignment. If you're into that kind of shizz, it's an excellent time to see the wonders of the universe all in one go.
These things will be visible from January 25 to February 21, 2025, but January 26 will mark the peak of the deal.

Slappin some tarriffs?
Prez Trump threatened a 25$ tariff on all goods imported from Colombia- This decision followed Colombia's President refusing to allow aircraft carrying detained Colombian migrants to land in the country. Colombia justified their refusal by emphasizing human dignity and opting not to receive deported migrants under current terms.
Columbia apparently backed down, a big political win for the administration- and is now accepting the return of illegal immigrates according to sources.
Hamas Hostages

Why Most Mutual Funds Fail to Beat the Indexes
It's a fact that most actively managed mutual funds fail to beat their benchmark indexes over the long term. This is primarily due to management fees, inconsistent performance, and HUMANS GETTING INVOLVED IN DECISIONS. (we are emotional clams).
Funds like those based on the S&P 500 are generally hard to beat, and passive investing in index funds like VOO (Vanguard S&P 500 ETF) has been a proven strategy for years. So, while mutual funds may seem like a good idea, over time, the math doesn’t always add up.
Why do many investors place their retirement investments (perhaps a Roth IRA), into things like actively managed mutual funds?
Beats the heck outta me dude. Zero Idea. Tell me in the comments!

THE GOOD STUFF
Sometimes at dinner my wife and I like to challenge ourselves by watching a good ole fashioned episode of Jeopardy… I know none of the answers, and that’s fine.
HULU, has been airing some episodes of,
Celebrity Jeopardy
It’s great. jus trY it.
The latest episodes have been a rollercoaster of laughs, suspense, and some surprisingly tough questions! What’s fun about this version is that the celebrities, with their own unique personalities, add a personal touch to the competitive nature of the show. It’s a light, fun watch that’s perfect for unwinding after a long day.
What’s for dinner?
So… my wife is going out of town on Business.
I’m making it on my own, sort of. For now. Updates to follow…
